MTGinktober explodes into Day 21, "Blast," starring Krark, the Thumbless; Zoyowa Lava-Tongue (Richard Luong version); Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought; Goblin Charbelcher; and Loot, the Key to Everything!
All right, I went to paper with two complete research rounds ready, in case this idea didn't work out, but also cuz I couldn't decide between this and Chandra basically self immolating, which I believe was what she did in the lore, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyway, this was a nice, light deay, despite involving multiple creatures, including a dreaded vehicle (well, sorta)! My hand is feeling relatively rested by now, so we may be ready for something more intense by tomorrow.
Fun Facts: This is kinda Krark's second MTGinktober appearance, if you count his thumbs earlier. This also checks another card type off our list, which I believe makes us current on all main-line types, thanks to a Spacecraft getting a debut here. Did not have me drawing a gigantic Spacecraft on my bingo card, but it felt like a perfect Smash combo-style cap to this gag, so we jotted it in right as we were thinking about wrapping our pencils.
Easter Eggs: My signature is in Krark's cloth attire. Since I hastily drew the Spacecraft at a weird angle, it wasn't pointed directly at Loot, who I loathe, so I considered making its firing mechanism a swarm thing like the StarCraft Battleship, but the angle worked out after all, so I just went with a Tenchi Muyo-style beam. I considered Fleem firing the Cannon, but since I kinda wanted to chuck UB in the cannon, too, it didn't quite feel on-theme. The background comes from Charbelcher.
