MTGinktober barrels into Day 8, "Reckless," starring Judith, Carnage Connoisseur; Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch; and Lyzolda, the Blood Witch!
This was a joy to concept, but, man, the headdresses and stuff...so many fine details. My hand's definitely hurting a bit by day 8, and this piece didn't help. Anyway, the idea of these three hanging out and being confident idiots was too amusing not to go for. Plus confidently "smart" idiot leaders is one of my favorite tropes, so of course we have to have The Scourge Diva be the ringleader.
Fun Facts: This is Judith's second MTGinktober appearance, though the first time we focus on her second card. The other two debut, and Lyzolda helps us most directly hit the MTGO avatar achievement for our "Expressions of Magic" goal since I based her headdress on that digital asset, and only used her card to guide the rest of the costume.
Easter Eggs: This is our second time referencing classic comedy--melding various Three Stooges gags--after our Abbott and Costello reference in 2021. My signature is in the drapery up top, and the background is based on the Alex Dos Diaz Judith's background, which was also our anchoring Judith reference.
