Fun_PuppetPals2010

The trick to Christmas when poverty's afoot is giving and getting free stuff (like Twitter accounts, for instance). Since money's non-existent this year, I dusted off the old N64 and GBA and it was like getting new systems for Christmas complete with a ton of guaranteed-great games. And because I can barely remember the games' details, replaying them feels surprisingly fresh. A winning strategy!

But video games kill productivity, so I have to tune them out now...

Speaking of re-enjoying old things, this is me revisiting my old PuppetPals. So yeah.

And you thought we were done? What are you NEW?!

Usually I listen to rock while drawing but for this guy, I made an exception. I listened to Norm's run at Weekend Update.

So this is going to go in the Commencement issue, and it'll be a coloring activity! Grab your crayons and kiss you boola goodbye!

Fun Facts: I drew two presidents in 24 hours for the issue! This one was the more difficult one...stay tuned for the next one.

Fun_Escape!Arrives

Just to update what we're looking at here, Escape! is now out in print! You can find some incredible original comics, and a beautiful cover, but we've also collected a bunch of great reprints from the Herald and the YDN.

Free bookmark not included with purchase of free Escape!. Only available while supplies last. Void where prohibited. Please drink responsibly.

All my reprinted comics that were posted on this site with "updated art coming soon" have been touched up so they now look better than originally printed, and are in line with their Removal versions.

But what I'm most excited about is that you may now view certain comics "uncensored." I don't like that sensationalist word, but it's technically true, and it's hecka funny saying that I've been censored. Multiple times.

Imagine that.

The YDN's Zero Like Me gets a section.

So if you're a Rumpus person and you think you're clever second guessing me, guess what, you're not. Yeah, I said it. Just kidding. But seriously, now you can see the original for yourself. Isn't that neat how the depth you're looking for in a comic actually did/does exist?

The Herald's Zero Like Me: Zero Romance also gets a section.

No censorship issues there, just updated aesthetics, but that fool jack kelly does get to print some cut material, too. Might want to drink that all in, it'll have to last for a while.

So take a look at me now,

Fun_ZLMPuppetPals

In honor of the one year Birthday Blah of Zero Like Me, I'm doing some special and weird things.

First, I randomly found this cute little paper puppet pal dealio, and decided to try it out, despite not having any time to spare.

I would strongly recommend using an art knife--one of those thin, pen-like knives--since scissors are actually quite cumbersome.

To make the thing at left, I cleaned up a template for another model, and then flipped the paper over so only white canvas shows. The plain template, which I found and cleaned up from here, is right below.

So, secondly, I used to give away spare Monster energy drinks last year, but since we lost our Law School swipes, I don't really have Monster to burn, but I do have Uncommon root beer stockpiled. So if you would like, please pick up a bottle (just one, to be fair), which I will hide near the JE Nagging Table some time before 5pm, just outside of the dining hall. My parents also left me cranberry juice, which I am eager to give away, too.

Ok. I hope today goes well.
