Currently: Now scanning one of my most famous comics, the infamous Fulmer Nelson, technically my second censored comic (and right while the YDN was jeering the Yale Press for censoring the Mohammad comics). Fulmer Nelson and its censored post have now been restored. Take notes Rumpus, if you even still exist, that's how comics is done; don't try to second guess me on how to do my job, thanks.

Currently: ~1/3 done! Suspect books'll be in Sunday. Frustrating you guys are bas'lly all anony, so I've no idea who's even into my work til we meet face to face (I reserved copies for fans I've met, with remaining books going to reservers, and then dropping a few at dining halls. Thought my main audience = 2010, but come to think of it, most I meet are 2011...you guys move out ~12th?...ugh...

Currently: Finished semester two of ZLM! It only gets harder because I started going twice a week the next semester, then 4x in the final semester! This is actually kinda fun, revisiting these and taking the journey again...is this what it was like for you strangers to read the random little bottled messages I sent out all these years?

Currently: Ah...man, now entering the pass out at any moment stage...fortunately you don't have to be too alert for scanning, or at least I know exactly what I'm doing so it's kinda automatic. Up to ZLM17.

Currently: Just fin'd semester 1 of ZLM, 3 more 2 go (and with every semester usu comes an increase in comics--I started Tuesdays, then Weds, then MW, then MWF/F! Gauntlet above: left's to scan, right's scanned.

Currently: Aww, man the tiredness is starting to set in, eyes feel heavy...but on the +side...ZLM6 just made me lol. Haha...man...that's weird. I love how anyone, even the artist who made it, can enjoy visual art.

Currently: Done with the first 3 comics plus pilots and even some bonus material! Seeing this old stuff is cool cuz it's been so long I can now read it like it's new plus I get to see how far I've come artwise.

Here are sketches from The Space's rock show in Hamden, CT last night.

We arrived just as Goodbye Terminal was wrapping up, but they sounded great (top right guitarist).

I went for The Sandy Gill Affair, who did just great, although it sounds like they changed the intro to "Winter In Westchester" from its old "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" sounding version. Anyway, I might be a jinx for them because they always have really weird audio whenever I'm around. Their first song was really wacky, but they recovered fast and well.

Article 19 had some incredible songs (top left, Seth Green guy).

The final singer, minus her saxophonist, was a tedious listen, reminiscent of the anti-climactic finish at last year's Battle of the Bands.

Frankie concluded my drawing session, but not before getting some audience shots. The center guy was even kind enough to talk to me. He asked me a question I'll answer on Monday.

Also, many people enjoy wearing those hiker hook keychain deals.

A Spanish homework sketch of Frankie from Quarters Crisis; she's only two weeks away!

In other news: I've finally broken into the YDN! I was blown away first just to see my artwork so huge on a page and then secondly, to see how perfectly it tied in with the article it shared space with. I don't know if that was planned, as this comic's been floating around for weeks now, but in any case, it was excellently juxtaposed. Seeing my name all huge wasn't too bad either.

This is the sketch that lead to this. I've been in print at the Herald for over a year, but seeing my stuff in the YDN gave me that giddiness I haven't felt in a long while.

Again, this opinion series, Sick Little Suicide, will aim for every other Wednesday.

I saw a photo on the plane to Yale of a singer and her stickered, beat up, well traveled luggage and thought, that's pretty cool. So that's this piece's theme: a break from the road.

Personal note: I have a cold, but fortunately, the worst of it passed this Saturday night.

This is a quick drawing of Frankie Paupunk from Quarters Crisis.

I drew it during the Ex!t Players' recruitment show. They had not one, but TWO, recent grads perform. Meanwhile, the Purple Crayon's master, Benji, attended his own group's show, but didn't himself perform...What. A. Rip. As I walked to the Crayon's premiere, I kept thinking, Man, it sucks Benji's not around anymore. And then BAM! I see him at the door and think WOW! One last show! How cool! But no. No show. Dang.

At least my fears that this year's Crayon would, well...suck...have been assuaged. I'm glad my favorite improv group still owns the poop out of Ex!t, or anyone else (I saw the ending of Just Add Water, and it was sad).

Oh, this is also an experiment to see if I can post from a cluster, so hopefully there's an image here.

Right, so I'm posting from that hideous monstrosity, Swing Space, which reminds me: neeeed home Internet.

Oh, and the Freshman Bazaar was fantastic; I hope we get a bunch of great new artists. People loved my posterboard, and non-comics people would clearly be staring at it but then just continue walking on--even some cops checked it out! Ha! I even met a fan!! How freaking cool is that?!
